Default CC Excel Charger Question

Hi all,
I have a 2013 Precedent Excel, with all stock mechanicals, and brand new Crown Batteries. Serial number starts with PH.
The charger is a Power Drive 3, a couple of question for you all:

Is the Power Drive 3 the correct charger for the car?

I noticed that when I plug the DC cord into the cart I hear a click, before the AC cord is ever plugged in, when I plug the AC cord in, I get another click, but it takes about 2 minutes for the charger to start. after that it seems to operate as expected.

I also have a 2006 CC DS, and the charger starts about 15 seconds after plugging in the AC cord. Also no clicks as described above.

Thank you,
George

Try plugging the charger into the wall first, then plug charger into the cart. See if that changes anything. It should take a few seconds then come on, then after 30 seconds or so it will cut off and cut back on automatically. It's supposed to do that. Power Drive 3 is correct for my 2010 PH. I'm sure its correct for yours.

Definitely the correct charger. AC plug needs to be plugged in first.

David,
Thank you, and holy crap I have been plugging the chargers into the cart first then the AC forever.

Glad we are never to old to learn.

Dennis,
Thanks for your reply, I read the manual wrong, and having been plugging in the DC side first ever since I got the DS 10 years ago.

There is no need to unplug the A/C cord at all.
