battery wire replacement
guys,
I'm almost finished upgrading my battery cables with all 4 ga. My neg black cable runs from the battery through a thin black box mounted on the aluminum wall to some sort of relay. question is - what is this thin black box that is mounted on the wall and do i need to run my new cable through this? or can I bypass it and go around the wall? also does it matter if the wires are a little longer than the originals? do you need a pic? thanks |

Re: battery wire replacement
The negative battery cable passes thru the On-Board-Computer (OBC).. The OBC is the "brains" for your battery charger.. The new cable will have to pass thru the OBC.. The new cable will have to be threaded thru the hole in the OBC before the terminal is installed.. As long as your new cables aren't excessively longer than the originals they'll be ok..
