Re: speed control for club car
Hi Charlie, Welcome to BGW.
Some of the advice you read applies to some of the carts so we need to know which cart you are asking about first. Use the chart below to help you select your drive system. Don't see your drive system there? Maybe it's this one? see pic |

Re: speed control for club car
For sepex drive systems the answer is yes, you will gain speed. This is primarily because the OEM controls restrict motor rpms more than the aftermarket controls. An increase in available amperage also improves performance aspects like acceleration and hill climbing.

Charlieb2,
There are several Sepex systems. Look at your chart and help us identify which one it is. |

Re: speed control for club car
well i got the new speed sensor and put it in.the problem i have now is at first i could only go to 15 mph and the motor would quit like i put it in neutral while driving and it would wind down like i used the brakes.after checking to see if the wires and button were in like i think they should be i took it out and it didn't cut out like before but when i slowed down and applied the brakes the motor would break and cause the cart to come to a sudden stop. is it possible i did some wrong or could it be the sensor i was sent was bad?
