2005 Precedent; 48v. dead

Hello All,

While replacing the seat after some maintenance, I dropped a socket onto the battery which then rolled into a terminal and made a small arc. The charger was plugged in and the the switch was set to run...a bad error.
Charger will not come on, nor reverse buzzer, or add on light kit. The 15a fuse is intact near the solenoid.
Looking for suggestions on troubleshooting. Thanks.

First off,

to BGW

Yikes, it sounds like you may have taken out the OBC, controller, and voltage reducer all in one shot...

First step is to check all wires and verify everything is correct.

Something doesn't sound right. A socket touching a terminal doesn't produce an arc. I do it every time I tighten a battery terminal with a socket. It sounds to me like you left something disconnected on the batteries. Either that or you had a extra long deep well socket that would reach between two battery posts.

I was replacing the seat, holding the socket wrench. The socket fell off the wrench, hit the battery and rolled into the battery terminal. Goofy, I know.
It was a spark, arc is the wrong word. The charger stopped immediately, and of course the cart was dead. I did get reverse buzzer for about 2 seconds. A dying buzz...

The best way seems to be replacing components with known good ones. I dont have much access, but open to trying anything else...

Cant find any burned wires, no smells when it happened. Fuse (15a) in black plastic case is good.

There is one more fuse in the cart. You may have to pull a battery out to get at it. Here is a picture with the two middle batteries out. The fuse is circled in yellow.
