Motor Controller techinal question
My motor controller burned up on my 1996 Carryall Serial # F9644-540790.
The burned up motor controller is a Curtis model #1204-412, 48 v 300 amps. It has the usual terminals A2, B-, B+, M- and push on terminals 1,2 and 3. When I got the replacement Curtis controller, the replacement has those terminals on it plus an extra push on terminal marked J5 next to the B+ terminal and a 4 wire plug on terminal. Does anyone know if it will work just using the wires off my old controller and leaving those other terminals empty? If not, what do I connect to those other terminals. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I need to get it running as soon as possible for work around my barn and the technical support from my place of purchase will not be available for a few days. |

Re: Motor Controller techinal question
The "M" suffix is the latest programmable version of your old controller.
Did they configure it for You or sent You the configuration information for reference? That controller can support 9 different throttle types and the J5 connector can be programmed to activate 1/2 speed reverse. As long as the throttle was configured to match your application, it should work really well. |
