1992 36V CC melted V Glide
V glide melted on my cart which caused it obviously to not go. Ideas on not melting new one? Low voltage is the culprit I am told and typically in the batteries, however all batteries load test at 6.4 volts and are less than a year old. Battery cables maybe?? Thanks!!

Big tires?
My info tells me 6.4v is 100% for a 6v battery so must not be much of a load test, it's not even taking the fluff off the charge? Lets get a pack reading when the cart is charging uphill. That's a load test and I'll bet it's not going to read 38.4 |

If You still have that extra solenoid your neighbor gave You (other thread you have), You can by-pass the VGlide entirely at full throttle so no current will flow through it:

- Tires are stock. Not sure I follow "charging uphill"? I mean I hooked up load tester pressed button for 10 seconds as it says 6.4 was the read out, but needless to say the batteries aren't my issue. - V glide did seem to melt at WOT range so I like the idea of bypassing, yes I still have the extra might be the way to go. |

Problem is the- cheap V glide. Pure garbage.
Sounds like you have a pretty stock cart. Good V glide should work in it |

Charging uphill is the act of going forward up a hill with vigor. That my friend will put a load on a cart. A load test that does not draw the batteries down one bit is no load at all. Clearly you do not understand the importance of a proper load. An automotive type load tester is not going to test a golf cart battery because it draws 50 amps and a golf cart draws hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of amps. |

New V installed and cart still no go. I understand there's not many parts to this thing and the only things I haven't checked would be motor and FnR switch. Thoughts?

Does the solenoid click when you try to go?
If no (as I suspect) there are 2 micro switches involved... one on the F&R and one in the V glide. Check them both with a meter. |
