club car motor 1012190
The motor I have has A1,A2, F1,F2 Instead of A1,A2, S1,S2 typically found in the diagrams. Is there any significant difference with these two types of terminal markings.

Re: BSA medical forms reminder!
Yes. They're totally different motors. The motor with the "S" markings are a series-wound motor and the motor with the "F" markings are a shunt-wound motor. They are non-compatible with one another.

Re: 1012190 motor
Are the terminal hook ups the same as far S1 matches F1 and S2 matches F2?

Re: club car motor 1012190
That's what I have found but can't seem to find a diagram as far as wiring up with fwd/rev switch and 5 solenoid series. seems like this motor is frequently used in gas carts. looked online and get the same old diagrams all with s1,s2 series motor only will try and look deeper. Thank you for the info!

Re: club car motor 1012190
The car I am working on is rigged up as a resistor cart and has the shunt motor in it. This is all new to me and I am learning lots quickly especially on this site. It was a used car given to our family and just went in and re-wired everything and new solenoids, coils and switches and etc. Cleaned up the motor and found the F series letters on the motor. It is a 1012190 number club car tagged on the motor just now learning about shunt wound motor. I have found a diagram compatible on line. The gas cart diagrams I found use a shunt wound motor. that all. Thanks I know how to make this work now
all in the type of switch and how it is hooked up. |
