Default 96 Carryall, no reverse.

After my motor controller burned up, scorching all the wires on it, I installed a new motor controller and repaired the wires and I just installed a new MCOR conversion kit.

Now it runs fine in forward but no reverse. When I put it in reverse and hit the accelerator the solenoid clicks just like it does when I put it in forward and hit the pedal.

What is the first thing I should check?

Thank you. I will check them first tomorrow. I was thinking that they would be ok since the solenoid clicks when I put it in reverse but I will be sure to check them.

I got my Carryall working today. I had downloaded a manual and done every test they had for electrical components and they all checked out fine.

Puzzled, I started over from scratch with everything I did to my cart from the time it broke. First I had gotten a motor controller which was slightly different from the one I had so I went to another web site for instruction on installing it.

Hooking it up was fairly simple as I took wires off the old one, one by one, repaired them and put them on the corresponding terminals on the new controller. The wires that went to terminals 2 and 3 were completely burned off so I had to repair them and the web site said it did not matter which of these wires went on #2 or #3 terminal so after repairing them i just pushed them on either terminal.

This was the problem. Bad advice on that web site. I tried reversing these 2 wires and everything works now.

I won't go back to that web site for instructions again.
