A bit overboard with a Digital Voltmeter....
I was thinking of installing a digital voltmeter in my cart but then I saw this - seems like it would be unnecessary but heck - why not!
Thoughts?? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017FSED9I?th=1 |

It says 20 amp. Don't know if it will hold up to a cart.

Re: A bit overboard with a Digital Voltmeter....
Based on the wiring diagram I wouldn't suggest it. It would require a shunt in line with your battery or armature cable and the resistance of said shunt to keep it in workable range of that meter would cause some issues with operation. You'd want one with a hall effect current sensor big enough to fit your cable.

Golf cart current meters would all use a shunt. You have to have the correct one for the meter calibration to get proper readings. There are Ebay sellers out there that have them. I got a 300 amp shunt for my setup which is fine for me since I rarely pull more than 300 amps. (The shunt is 50mV at 300 amps)
