1983 Club car Ds micro switches burning up
I have a 1983 club car. I bought it from a guy that said it just needed some batteries. Well that was not the case I got some batteries for it and it didn't make a difference in the functionality of the cart. I put that batts in and the cart would move like it had no power. I checked all the batteries they had a good charge all over 6.5 volts. Then I thought the micro switches in the speed control were bad so I replaced 3 of the five that are in there. Well that didn't work either there was no change. I called on of the local cart dealer in town one said the motor was bad so I called another place for a second opinion he said it was probably the solenoids so I replaced those as well. So after I replaced those now the micro switches on the forward/reverse is getting fried and it still won't move worth a dang. Please help and thank you.

Re: 1983 Club car Ds micro switches burning up
Alright so the reply was helpful. I figured out the issue with overheating the mini switch. One of the contacts on the solenoids was touching the bus bar. I still don't have any power though. The cart will move but slows to a crawl then does nothing.
