Default Hardwiring 48 volt charger to IQ cart

Would hardwiring a charger or install a separate female charger plug in parallel inside the battery compartment, (keeping the outside plug active,) with the 48 volt charger plugged into it at all times, hurt any component while using/operating the cart normally?

Just realized I posted this to Electic EZGO by accident. Sorry about that! Time for some coffee this morning!

The cart's OBC will sense the charger being plugged in and will disable the cart.. You would need an aftermarket charger, and remove the OBC...

Thanks John :)

I was trying to get it to be a simple plug in and walk away. How do places like Ft. Wilderness setup their CC's with a plug-in only setup? Do they use chargers with their own brains and have the OBC turned off?

Your welcome!!

You might have to look at one of the modified carts to see what they're using.. I know the OBC system as designed, will disable the main solenoid so the cart cannot be driven until the charger is unplugged.. On my Ike rebuild, I ditched the OBC and bought an aftermarket charger..
