Steeleng Flip Seat Help
Just got in a Sterleng flip seat for a 99 CC DS. Roof supports are not drilled right but that's an easy fix. The bracket for the front seats has me puzzled. I can't make heads or tails out of how these pieces fit.
Anybody care to show some pics of them installed? Last edited by spotco2; 10-22-2016 at 03:39 PM.. Reason: spell check |

Re: Steeleng Flip Seat Help
The short pieces may go sideways to make the bolt holes line up. My Madjax uses that method. Try bolting the short pieces in the original holes and see if the main bracket lines up with anything then.

Re: Steeleng Flip Seat Help
I just installed one on my EZGO, the instructions suck, but if you look real close at all the pictures, you may get lucky and see how it's installed.

Re: Steeleng Flip Seat Help
I've installed the front seats a few times with an assortment of these parts and pieces.
I finally figured out a way to put the long brace on and still be able to tighten everything but had to add a few extra holes where I wanted them. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they can explain how it's supposed to work and hopefully send me some pics. |

Re: Steeleng Flip Seat Help
This is the response I got from Steeleng today about how the split front seat backs should be assembled.
"The individual Seat backs will attach to the large plate using the factory hardware or screws. Then, The whole assembly will mount to the A frame brackets. The 2 Tubular brackets, you will not use, as those are for the NEWER style DS with a single Backrest for the front." That still does not work. Conclusion is just drill some extra holes and mount it using the old brackets on the seat backs and the flat piece across the back of the A frame brackets but check your fit of the new rear seat back before you tighten everything up and adjust holes as needed. |

Re: Steeleng Flip Seat Help
Mine had #3 Phillips screws holding the original brackets to the seat backs and were not long enough to mount like that.
Thanks for the pics. I might go pick up some bolts and flip it around. |
