Default Re: Ordered a 48V Plum Quick Speed Motor

Just installed a PQ in my 2004 CC Precedent and here are the results...

Using my gps:

Before:

Speed Code 3
Flat ground 14.1 mph.
Downhill 14.2 Engine Regen Braking
Up steep hills 8 MPH

After:

Speed Code 3
Flat ground 22.3 mph
Downhill freewheels (got up to 30)
Up Steep hills 10

I do notice that the motor has a louder tone to it at WOT, kind of a low hum. Has anyone else with a PQ noticed this?

Great results.
incredible little motors and that handle makes it so much easier to install didn't it
Amazing the difference for just $300--makes it a whole new cart right?!?!

Congrats on your speed increase. Obviously I'm also very happy with my $300 investment. Getting larger tires should get you even more top speed, 25-26+mph.

I just finished installing a PQ on my 2004 CC IQ.

My cart has a 6" lift and 23" tires, (can be seen in my profile)
and was on speed setting 3, according to previous owner.
Stock 250 amp controller, stock cables, and 5 yr old Trojans.

Garmin GPS READINGS

Before the PQ:
Flat ground 17-18 mph
Slight down hill - 19.5 (regen braking)

After the PQ install:
Flat Ground 24-25 mph
Same Slight down hill 27-28 mph

It still slows down uphill, but maintains a higher speed that it did before. I hope to cure that with an upgraded controller and 4g cables later this summer.

Overall, I couldnt be more pleased with my PQ. The guys, Ricky, Robby and Carson were also very helpfull, knowledgeable and friendly.
