Default Speedometer Ideas

I really want a speedometer for my cart, but I don't want one bad enough to shell $250 for the digital one that several folks market and am to cheap to buy a GPS.

So I am looking to adapt something. I was think about one of those cheap bicycle speedometer kits like on REI click here , or looking for other ideas.

Buy a cheap GPS system. Seen them go for as little as $69. Use that for a speedometer and is VERY acurate. I told my wife that I was going to put one on my cart and she asks me "where am I going to go on the cart that I don`t know where it is!!!"

It's a Garmin 660 with BlueTooth connecting to your cellphone. At Costco you can get the one without Bluetooth for under $200. It's overkill for the Cart but now that I have Nav in the car I had an extra one leftover.

One other advantage is that you can take it with you walking, riding or in another car when we travel in the Motorhome. My wife has the Garmin 650 without Bluetooth that she uses in her car.
