Default 2003 club car precedent jerky acceleration

On my electric club car, when I am pushing on the gas pedal, if I only push 1/2 way down or so, it starts going and then hesitates and cuts out. But if I push the pedal down all the way, it takes right off well. It has been doing that for a few years. Very annoying. Any ideas?

Try cutting off the cart and then pressing the go pedal all the way down really fast about 20 times. See if that changes anything. If so, call David at Revolution Golf Carts. He'll help you with a replacement MCOR. On second thought, what are the first 5 digits of your serial number? You said Precedent but we need to make sure what you have.

Please read the MCOR sticky post on the top of the page, should help you understand what could be going on.

Definitely need to start with the serial number. The Precedent didn't come out until 2004.

A 2005 would need a #102528501 MCOR2.

i had the same problem on my 03 iq cart
first remove the mcor to bench test it, the 3 wire plug has a common and 2 rheostats: 1 rheostat reads 0-~7.5 and the other reads ~7.5-0
my problem ended up being dust in the plugs, so much dust that i had a hard time getting them un-plugged
you have to remove the mcor regardless of whether you replace or repair, a simple bench test will indicate if replacement is required
or if it was only a dirty plug

It hard to read the sticker but I believe this is the serial number. PQ0733-707703.

Thanks Tahoe, So should I buy a MCOR2? Is that likely the solution?
