1995 axle bearing

Does anyone care to share a step by step process with a new guy on how to replace the axle bearings on a '95 club car ds. Also is there anything else I should look for and or replace while I am doing this. This is phase 1 of a total rebuild so I would like the axle factory fresh.

i suggest you look for an instruction of club car ds lift kit which mentions the unistall of the axle. then you may find a solution to replace the bearings.

Club Car rear axle bearings rarely if ever go bad.

So is ther a reason to replace. I already have them.or should I just leave them alone.i was also going take a look in the rear to see if the gears all looked good and possible try to find new heavy duty gears so I don't have problems when I upgrade motor and such to make it go about 25 with lift and tires.

No reason to replace. The Club car differential is bullet proof

I did the same as you...when I decided to up-grade the rear end gears...I pulled both axles and took them and the new bearings to a machine shop and had them pressed on. Then I installed the high speed gears and used a 30w synthetic oil to refill the rear end. When I split the case I damaged the gasket but could not find a replacement so my parts house suggested some kind of sealer instead of a gasket and everything went back together. Jumped the speed from 13mph to 29mph with the gear change and 10" tires and wheels with street tires running 25lbs of air. Very happy with the net result. I also installed new seals at the same time.
