Default 1st club car advice

JUST GOT A 2008 CLUB CAR IT HAS REAR SEAT AND STRONGER LEAF SPRINGS

I'M GOING TO PUT A ALL SPORT 6" LONG TRAVEL KIT WITH 23" TIRES

THEN IM GOING TO GET THE SYSTEM FLASHED TO SPEED CODE 4

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD DO TO THE CAR SO I DONT SCREW IT UP. I SEE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT upgrade the controller/solenoid combination to 400 amps?

TRYING TO BUILT IT TO LAST

THANKS

BLAKE

Blake, welcome, but what is your main desire for the cart performance wise?

Cruising the neighborhood but we have trails and levees to ride that are rough. Thats why i went with long travel lift kit. A little over kill but alot more comfy i hope

A little more hilly in Houston, not as flat as the island, but the best bet is going to be a controller....you're gonna need it for torque to drive those tires. A 500 amp should do it, but ask Scottyb and he will help you with a great kit for your application...and some 4 or 2 gage wire wouldn't hurt either....

Scottyb at cartsunlimited.net.
The stock motor can do what you ask with a 400a XCT control/200a solenoid/4g cable set.
500a is a good suggestion. It includes the cooling fan and handles any of the bigger aftermarket motors.

And if you are going with a new controller forget about getting speed code 4.

Any golf cart shop should be able to correctly install these parts. You'll obviously have to pay, but it may be worth it...
