Default cyclecomputer installation

I have a 48V Club Car Precedent (2004). Looking at installing a Sigma BC1106 to track speed and mileage. Was told by Sigma that they thought the Wireless model probably would not work due to interference from light, radio, and turn signals. Suggested I use the wired model. Has anyone had any experience in this area. I also would welcome any suggestions.
Thanx Jim

I believe most use GPS devices instead. It does it all and then some and pretty inexpensive nowadays.

I have installed a couple of Schwinn speedometers. They're cheap ($10) and fairly easy to install. They are wired so you have to epoxy a magnet on the wheel and rig up something to get the pickup really close to the magnet as it rotates. JB Weld was my friend! You need to get the diameter of the wheel which is easy. Put a dab of paint on the tire and roll the cart until you get two spots of paint on the ground and measure the distance between. I have a friend who tried the wireless with no luck just like Sigma told you. There are lots of needless functions like calories burned, etc. Just ignore them.

You know you can purchase a TomTom GPS on Amazon for as low as $79 and use it for other things besides you Cart. A wireless Sigma is $70...
