it will shuts off after the 16 hour charge for sure now it charging fine if i run cart for twenty min it will charge for about four hours but i will hear the bubbling is that normal thanks you guys

can you guys tell me how to find the weak batterys for certain without taking my cart 30 miles to shop

You'll hear the bubbling while your batteries are charging. Did you test the cells in your batteries using a Hydrometer as ScottyB suggested? It’s a very simple task and can let you know of possible dead cells. You can also test each battery’s voltage using a volt meter to give you more answers about your batteries before taking your cart 30 miles to the shop.

thanks scuba no i didnt get a chance to go buy a hydrometer i never heard back on which type to buy does the cheap one work good wal mart had one that costed a dollar on sale but i didnt get that one cause it was cheap tomorrow i going to try to go to a auto part store and get one so you saying i could just check each battery single hooked up in series and still get a good reading on which one is the weak ones i heard you need to check them under a load is that true like jack the rear up smack the pedal and then get a reading is that also true thanks get back asap anyone so i can start hunting the problem

A decent one from an auto parts store should do the trick. The object is to see what the specific gravity is of each cell per battery. Write them down and post them here. Also you can check with a voltmeter each battery independently without having to disconnect them. Just place the red lead on the positive terminal of a battery and place the black lead on the negative terminal of the SAME BATTERY. Write down the readings per battery and post them here as well. Also if your battery pack is fully charged take the reading of the entire battery pack and post it here as well.

kinda confused didnt get a voltage reading yet but the hydrometer i got from part store was only like two dollars but they said that was a good one but anyways all my cells floated all four balls in every battery please get back someone

ok i check my batteries after full charge and here they are starting with number one reading in voltage is 8.85 8.82 8.85 8.86 8.79 8.85

According to the Trojan site Open circuit voltage test should be done at least 6hrs charging, preferably 24hrs http://www.trojanbattery.com/Battery...e/Testing.aspx

thanks jimc i apparently dont know how to do a hydrometer test or i got the wrong tester cause my had four balls in it and it said if all four floats they was good i dont quite understand about the 80o stuff do i need to disconnect loads from battery when testing them cause they just came off charge when i checked them i guess i will try agin tommorrow if new info thanks again
