Default MCOR issue

Hello TD,

I have been reading this thread for several nights. I seem to convince myself I have an MCOR issue, then talk myself out of it.

My Cart: CC DS Series 48 2002 / all new batteries and charged

Two Issues: (a) Pedal does not achieve audible "click" until 2 / 3 depressed. ? However, once the contact "click" it operates smoothly from very slow (crawl) to top speed. No jerking. There is not much travel from crawl to top speed though when you start 2 / 3 depressed (or probably 4 inches of top pedal travel).

(b) Although smooth from the contact "click", top speed is 10-11 mph?

I don't think 2 /3 depressed is normal, but I don't know if it is a MCOR issue or some adjustment. I have also seen post on shimming some play in the pedal, which I did not fully understand.

I also don't know if 10-11 mph is NOT normal for 2002 DS? What speed should I get? What about the 2 /3 depression?

Thanks a ton for the thread and your assistance.

Default MCOR issue

I'm not sure if you have a mcor issue. But 10-11 mph's is about what I was getting on my 2001 DS series drive with stock size tires. I had a little pedal play but sounds like you have a little more. I did shim my pedal. With larger tires I have a top speed of 14 on completely flat paved roads. In my thread below, post #19 shows a pic of the shimmed pedal. And where I stated the higher speed in that post I wasn't looking at mphs. I corrected my statement on a later post in the same thread.

10-11 mph is just about normal for the club car DS, it was never designed to go really fast, so don't worry about the speed. on the MCOR I don't believe there is any adjustment you can make, it usually goes bad. As far as pedal play or wiggling, you may have 1 or both pedal bushings that are worn out. the 2/3rds pedal travel issue I can't really say, but you said the car operates fine after that and gets up to 11 mph so I think you are ok. Sometimes when you have to push the pedal further to get it going, its because the travel arm on the V GLIDE needs adjusted. There is a rod going from your gas pedal under the car to the arm and can eliminate the "delay" when you push the gas

As mentioned before, the excessive pedal travel before the MCOR switch "clicks" is a result of a worn pedal assembly, not an MCOR issue.

Here is another solution with additional pictures that may help You:

OP has a 2002 so I don't believe he has the V Glide setup. My 2001 doesn't have it. I could be wrong...

Lol no your right, my mind was just thinking of how the v glide works and taking off can be delayed by that pedal rod adjustment. Sorry I know it was not pertinent here
