Default 2001 Club car DS

I bought a non running ds. I charged the batteries to 51.9 volts. It will not move, no clicking from solenoid. The reverse buzzer works when it is in reverse even when the key is off. I cant get a volt reading from the solenoid. Any suggestions on what to check first? Thank you for any help.

YouTube has a pretty good troubleshooting video

FWIW, I associate unconditional reverse alarm with fried controller..

The vglide "throttle" is busted up, I noticed the linkage not moving correctly. It appears that the battery smashed it. Its not connected to the frame anymore, maybe this it the culprit?

I had a friend look at it, he somehow jumped something and the solenoid clicked. Put it in forward and it ran. I guess we will look closer after I find a v-glide.

If damage is limited to the case, it can be replaced for ~ $45
and swap over other components.

Would the vglide arm not operating correctly cause it not to run? Specifically cause the solenoid not to engage?
