Default Salt water + Electric motor = ?

Probaly a stupid question but can a electric motor out of a 36v club car thats been submerged in salt water be cleaned and rebuilt? I can fix most anything on my gassser but not much experiance with electric ones.

You can send it to someone like plumquick or emp and have it rebuilt.
