Default 2013 Precedent build

Hello All,

Back in December I was contemplating what to do with my 2011 CC DS. My main concern was wanting more speed. The cart had a stock controller and bandit motor, lift wheels and Was street legal (LSV). I just couldn't pull the trigger on upgrading my motor/controller/wires and dropping 1500$ just to gain 3-4 mph. I started crunching numbers and realized that I could sell that cart, buy a stock one and do it all again hopefully for much less than $1500 out of pocket. So I did.

I found a buyer for my DS who wanted it asap and had to be before xmas. But now I was having sellers remorse. Here in south Florida, "winter" is when we use the cart the most. I was afraid I would be cartless all winter if I couldn't find a nice stock cart in my budget. Thankfully I found a 2013 precedent for sale and bought it, drove it home, off the trailer, DS On the trailer, and delivered the DS all in the same day. Now, the build began. First order of business, buy all needed street legal parts and bring paperwork into DMV for inspection as they are 2-4 week delays. I decided to stop by a local (well an hour away) cart shop that advertises on Craigslist and seems to carry a good selection of stuff. Time was important so I could justify spending a little more to take it home. I ended up buying the RHOX A arm lift after seeing it on a cart at there shop, the red hawk LED street legal light kit, 14" megastars with 23" backlash tires, a rear seat, mirrors, and my smv triangle from them. And the best part is, prices were very competitive and the guys were very nice. I started with the rear seat, went on smooth. Then the front lift, rear lift, light kit (took a solid half day, No wiring harnesses in newer precedents) and finally the mirrors. Ordered my manual wiper and reflective tape off Amazon for my final touches prior to inspection. Around this time I decided to focus on the performance. I've been on the forum a while and have seen the amazing service Dave hicks from revolution carts gives this forum. I placed a call to Dave telling him I was pretty set on the plum quick executioner unless he thought I was doing something wrong, but needed controller advice. He recommended the alltrax xct48500 with 2 ga wires and hd solenoid and had it to my door in 3 days. I've never done wires or controller install before so as you would imagine I had some questions. Dave was there every time with a response, and always knew exactly what I was talking about with a solution. (Thanks Dave!) after getting the controller package installed, I felt like a kid on Christmas waiting for a purple box to show up at my door step. Finally, 2 days ago it arrived! I had been prepping my wife ahead of time so she knew I was busy for an hour once that package arrived. The old motor was a pain to remove, but Dave as always gave me good advice. Off she came, swapped the rubber grommet and installed the new motor. Performance was ok, motor seemed to kill the pack under load dropping down to 41v. Called PQ right away and they knew exactly what I did. "Did you swap the rubber grommet?" Oops! Off with the motor, remove rubber, install and test run! Much better. Now pack drops to 44ish. I love the motor and controller combo, gets up to speed quick! Top speed currently around 31 with a flash of 32. Should run stronger once alltrax releases new maps. Installed a little sound system with Bluetooth (a must imo) with a Scottyb reducer and some switches for future use. Also along the way had to install a new pack of Trojans.

I ended up about $400 over budget (what I sold old cart for) but I have much better components on this one.

That's all for now, going to enjoy the weather and work on paint and final touches this summer. Thanks for reading, any questions feel free to ask. Pics to follow

When I brought it home, my older son started crying and my wife hated it and asked if it was lowered. She forgot how the DS looked when I bought it.

It's been a pleasure working with you. Let me know how it progresses. Good info about the rubber grommet in the motor. People need to be aware of this.
