Default 2009 Club accel hiccup

Just bought an 09 electric Club. Batteries are about 4yrs, seem to be strong still. Under load (with anything more than just driver), when putting pedal to the floor, accel momentarily hiccups three times rhythmically. I.E. normal accel seconds 0-2, hiccup half a second, resumes 3-4, hiccup half a second, and once more then it's fine. Once at speed, resetting the pedal and flooring it the problem does not repeat, it's only from a stop. From stop, if I accel gradually, but quickly, vs. pedal to the floor, there are no hiccups.

Seem like a problem with the controller or the motor? Something else?

Thanks for your replies!

Sounds like weak batteries to me. Have you checked them with a meter to measure the total voltage?

Have not put the portable to them yet, but was going to install one. Will check and report back.

Thx Dawg.

I agree with Dawg, just went through the same exercise with my neighbors CC DS.

We get 1-2 of these cases a week in the summer time. 9/10 times its a battery issue. weak or bad cells, bad terminals or cables. I would check your batteries with a load test to find an obvious bad battery, and maybe a hydrometer after if nothing found. And always check cables and terminals. Make sure they're clean and tight. Also check the main connections on your solenoid and controller. I've seen a loose solenoid terminal cause all kinds of trouble.
