Default Club Car DS 6" lift 22in tires

Hello, I have a 2001 Club car ds 48 volt golf cart with a 6in jakes lift and 22in tires. I have a stock Curtis PMC controller Model # 1204-410 and its current is 225 , I have a stock club car motor # 1017857-01 model# 5BC59JBS61948. I am looking at making it faster up hills and faster on flat land. What do you recommend me doing for upgrades? It has a brand new battery pack of 6 8volt batteries.

Get with ScottyB at Cartsunlimited. Need controller an possible motor upgrade.
Scotty knows his stuff. I had the same cart as you. Added a 500amp controller and greatly improved torque. Then you will need a motor upgrade to add some more speed.

I have heard that if you do a motor and a controller that the cart acceleration will become touchy and the cart will buck. Did you have that issue with yours? Also you just added the controller right?

If you don't mind me asking what was a ball park figure for price wise that you spent to do the motor and controller? Also did you upgrade your F/R switch or Solenoid?
