Default 2010 Precedent overhead console wiring

I'm installing an overhead radio console in my 2010 Precedent. I plan on using a jacketed 3 or 4 conductor 18 gauge cable going down inside the driver's side top support for power, memory and ground. I would like to hear about your experiences installing overhead radio consoles. Any pictures or install tips would be appreciated.

Here is mine before I changed the HU and speakers and added XM.
I did it just the way you want to. I drilled a 3/8 hole in the upright (roof support) and used a fish tape to run the wires. (you do have to take the support off to avoid the mounting bolts) Then I ran the wiring under the cart and up into the battery compartment. I have an extra set of wires up there as well in case I need any more power in the future. On the outside of the support the wiring is in the plastic automotive wire loom. Works great and no wires to be seen!

Thats what I was thinking. What is the illuminated rocker switch for? Are you using a voltage reducer or an auxiliary battery?

The switch is for power. I shut it down completely (not even memory power).
The cart sits at camp all week and it just used on weekends, so I don't want to drain my accessory battery. I do have an accessory battery in the bagwell with a fuse block for lights, stereo, horn and dash chargers.

That sounds exactly like my plan. I'm also using a battery in the bag well. Fortunately I can keep a trickle charger on it so I'm hooking up the memory. Where did you mount the fuse panel?

I mounted the largest marine battery box that would fit into the bagwell and the extra space next to the battery was perfect for a Blue Sea fuse block.
I also have a trickle charger in the battery box as well.....when I remember to plug it in!

I am using a ML35-12 35AH AGM deep cycle battery. Based on my calculations it handle the radio and LED lighting with no problem.

Depending on the model it's super easy to fish wires up the passenger side strut. There are access holes etc on the bottom.
