Default Precedent light voltage

While I was removing my batteries to replace them and do my upgrades alltrax controller, battery cables, and solenoid. I noticed one wire going to battery #4 negative side that goes to the aftermarket headlight/ tail light harness that was in the cart when I bought it. I know there is no voltage reducer in the cart. I have looked everywhere under the dash, on the front end, and everywhere in between. So how do the lights get the proper voltage? I have since added my own voltage reducer but it is NOT connected to the lights. Can I connect this wire to my voltage reducer?

Look under the cart and check the frame rails both sides front to back.

I am 100% sure there is no voltage reducer on the lights. I have traced all the wires.

If there was no 16v->12v reducer on the negative wire than the lights were running on 16v.

You should move that positive wire to your voltage reducer to keep the pack balanced.

I'm going to have to check the voltage on the lights when I get the new batteries in. I never thought about it the led's worked.
