Post Lipo golf cart battery conversion?????

I have a 2008 club car predecent in need of some new battery's. I am trying to get the most range out of my golf cart. Currently I have the 4-12 battery setup but my cart will accept the 6-8 volt battery's. So I was going to replace my battery's with Trojan ranger battery's because I read that they heve the longest run time. I was reading about battery's today and came across a website that sold lipo golf cart battery's and it listed all the benefits of it. I understand switching to lipo battery's would be expensive but I was wondering what would have to be done in order to do it and if it's worth the money.

Read all of the threads here about using Lithium batteries. There are several (in the various electric forums) You will have to be the judge of if it's worth doing. It is more expensive. You save about 250 pounds over FLA batteries. You can get good range if you get a large enough Lithium pack. I have 120AH pack in mine and I get way more range than I got with my 6 x 8V FLA batteries. You have to buy a different charger to go with the Lithium batteries so you have to factor in that cost.

I am looking to spend $1000-$2000. Would I need to replace my stock motor and speed controller? I was looking at other posts and I think I am going to go with a 120ah pack if it can even be purchased for that price. And where would I buy a Lithium battery pack from

From what I've read, you will not need to replace the stock motor or the stock speed controller. As mentioned, there are a few threads with some helpful info. Here is one:

As long as you keep your voltage about the same you do not have to upgrade the motor and controller when you switch to Lithium batteries. My pack is a couple volts higher than my FLA pack was. You will spend at least $2000 for a 120AH pack with a good charger and BMS.

Here is a link to Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas. I have purchased and installed 7 packs from him. It is a DIY assembly project.
