Default Cable size question on 2000.5 DS Series

I'm installing a 36 volt motor in my 48 volt series vglide cart. I want to install larger cables while I'm doing the install. Do all 4 of the cables to the motor need to be replaced? It seems that I remember reading that only 2 needed to increase in size. I've searched but I can't find the post. Can anyone give me a definitive answer?

In a series cart all 4 motor cables carry high amperage and should be upgraded.

Series motors need all 4 changed when you up-grade. Sepex needs only 2.

Scotty types faster.
