Default 36V motor for a 48V 2002 ds

Good find
I'm looking for the same

Have read it is a good way to increase speed & torque

3 bolts & 4 wires
Make sure you hold the nut under the wire lug with
a wrench so it don't turn when removing the wires

Hopefully your motor slides off ok

Everybody has been real happy with this upgrade. Since you can't know the true condition of the used motor you found - why not send it out for new brushes and bearing before you install it

I just finished my upgrade with my 1988 club car ds from 36 volt to 48 volt. Motor Part number 5bc48jb771

700 amp FSIP controller and 22" tires. 8, new 6 volt interstate batteries.

16-17ishhhh mph at 36 volt.
22-23 mph at 48 volts
Hope this helps.

Scott

Good thinking Scotty, while I have your ear... how do I know that it for the correct year cart mine is a series with no speed sensor. What about spline count.
