Default Vinyl Wrap Template for Club Car Precedent?

I have been debating about painting my car, buying a new solid color body. Or maybe doing a vinyl wrap.

My goal is to make a Chicago Cubs themed golf cart. Originally I thought about buying a blue body and just decorating it with some decals.

But the idea of really doing something custom with a wrap is much more exciting.

Question is - where can I find or buy a template so I can design it myself then find someone who can make it?

Have you talked to a vinyl person yet. I would think that working with a rectangular grid large enough to center on the parts is better than some sort of precut die. You want to be able to grab and stretch and then trim. Think of it as trying to wall paper a room with a lot of windows and height changes. you can get your logo where you want and fill to the edges easier than cutting it first and bringing to the edge. That is why most designs are universal. Other than that there are many custom vinyl sign shops that I am sure can print something for you in a size similar to the cart pieces.

Yeah - I talked to a Vinyl company that does mostly cars and commercial work. They asked me to take measurements of the different sides etc.

I thought a template would be much easier - and from a design standpoint it would make it easier to position and space out the logos and design.

Vinyl does not go on like a sticker though. Even when they do cars it is not cut to a shape to fit the car, just dimensions that will cover

It takes MULTIPLE peices, tons of time, and multiple people to do a complete wrap. I had my hunting cart done, it ran me $300 and took 3 people 2 full days to do it. Take it to a professional, dont try and scrimp on $$. It wont last, or stay on if uou dont.

That looks fantastic.

I for sure want to go this route and I am not trying to skimp at all. I just want to design something myself that would be Chicago Cubs themed.

What's so hard about laying stickers down? Not being a smartass, just asking? I rolled my cart in Bedliner.............so no warp is possible from here on out lol.

I have not wrapped a cart but I have done many cars and custom fab pieces when building car interiors. It can be done with pretty decent results yourself. The few tips I have learned is to buy the best vinyl your budget allows, invest in a good heat gun, a good razor knife, and some patience. A few sets of hands also makes a big difference.

3 people 2 full days may be an overstatement too. 3 people x 6 hours x 2 days plus materials for $300 would be a great deal short of taking the cart to Mexico for the labor.. But if this is your plan. Hurry. Mr. Trump will not let this go for long. ( this is satire,)

Its what he charged me. I know when I dropped it off, and when he finished it. Yes, he cut me deal, so when you do yours. Let me know how long it took...by yourself, and how hard it was to fit all the crevaces and indentions without it bubbling or having to cut and overlap corners.
