Default 2000.5 Club Car Build / Conversion

First time poster, long time lurker. First off, big thank you to everyone that contributes here! I've learned a lot from everyone here and am very grateful for that.

I picked up my first cart last Summer, a 2000.5 Club Car DS 48v Regen II. It was stock with the exception of a beat-up rear seat, rusted bugle horn, and dusty rear sun shade. First thing, I threw on a Jake's 6" A-Arm Lift, 10" wheels w/22" tires, brush guard, and light kit. That got me around the farm thru the Fall without any problems (albeit lacking cojones)... the batteries finally said goodbye later in the year (they're old, very old).

I decided to break it down over the Winter and do a full rebuild and series conversion. It'll be motivated by ScottyB's C54 Package (500a Alltrax SR, 400a Solenoid, SW202 Reversing Contactor), 2ga Cables, and an Admiral A1 motor. I'll be replacing worn-out/rusted parts and cleaning up everything else.

This build is already underway (got started about a month ago) and I've been taking pictures throughout the process... so I'll post pictures & info until this thread catches up to where I'm at and then moving forward from there.

Full disclosure: these first two pictures are what my cart looked like when I first got it and after the lift etc... but they're not my actual cart (broke a phone and lost the pictures). All pictures going forward will be my own.

Here goes....

Thanks! Northeast of Buffalo, out in the sticks. It's a work buggy, we've got a small herd of Black Angus. What about yourself?

I'm in Quebec, right across the border from Fort Covington NY. Holstein dairy farm with cash crops on the side. Also 5 Herefords to add a little color [and entertainment] to the pastures.

Removed all of the old electrical components, wiring, motor, brake & accelerator assembly, trim, and floor mat. Started to clean up the frame a bit. It looks like the previous owner neglected the battery tray area... and did a really bad job painting (parts of) them with what I'm guessing is truck bed liner.
