Default Charger or Battery Issue IDK

1997 CC DS
5 month old battery-max maybe newer
Plum quick motor
4awg battery cables with the stud through the Computer
Everything else stock

Ok here is the issue. I'm out with the kids and family get about a mile from the house and cart dies. Prior to that the cart always stays on the charger. My buddy has the same year cart and charger and I feel like my charger was always running and I feel the the amp meter goes up to maybe 10 then stays at zero. So I borrowed my buddies charger and the gauge never moved and stayed at zero. Cart still dead. I am currently at work but when I get home I'm gonna check the fuse at the receptacle where the charger gets plugged in. If that if good any other ideas?

I would start by doing an OBC reset. It sounds like it could be the obc. I believe if the fuse it popped the charger wouldn't come on at all. The OBC is the brain in the system so it doesn't surprise me that both chargers doing seem to work.

This maybe a stupid question but does it matter if I remove the negative at the battery post or do I have to disconnect it at the controller? I have the stud thru the OBC; if that matters.

The cable can just be removed from the battery, I am guessing that is what you tried.

When you plug the charger into the cart can you hear a relay clicking in the charger?

Did you try your charger on your buddies cart, and his on your cart after resting the OBC?

Can you check the voltage of your batteries with a volt meter? They need to be at least 40 volts to allow the charger to kick in.

And that is the easy stuff, now you should reference the sticky from the forum page which has a very good troubleshooting guide for charging problems.

Do you mean Mighty Max Battery Pack?
If you have a multimeter or access to one, check the pack voltage then each battery. You need to first get your charger working and do a full charge on the pack.
As mentioned, if the battery charge is to low, it will not activate the charger. You may have to partially charge each battery with a portable charger to get the voltage high enough for the cart charger to kick in. Let the pack charge until the charger shuts off.
Let the pack set for 12 hrs then check the voltage on each battery. I'd bet that you may have a battery problem.
