Default 07 club car ds front hub bearing ID

I purchased a GTW 6" lift for my 07 club car ds. Upon installation, when it came time to reinstall the hub assembly to new spindle provided the inner bearing ID is .750" and the spindle shaft OD is .789" so I'm trying to figure out if I have the wrong spindle or if I need to order new hub bearings that have a larger ID. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Thanks so much

Check the link below to a thread I found which discusses spindle size.

I am guessing you have the earlier design spindles on your lift kit. But just a guess at this point.

I thought the change over was in 2003.

Thanks for the reply. Yes mine is an 07 with the silver aluminum cap. Now when I placed my order I had to specify post 03 which I did. the real question is why the spindle is larger because from my understanding the pre 03 spindle were smaller and they beefed up the new ones. Probably just poor Chinese machining. If the seller tells me it the correct part then Ill just have to chuck it up on my lathe and turn it down to proper size.

If I was at home I could measure my Spindles on both my 2007 DS, and my 2013 Precedent.
I agree that all the post 2003 are supposed to be the same, I just do not know the dimension.
Hopefully someone else can tell you what they are.
I don't see why you can't buy new bearings and just press the old ones out and the news into your hubs.

UPDATE:

After some researching and calling the vendor we finally determined that the 2007 club car ds that I thought I owned is actually a 2003 model. So hence the reason why the hubs wouldn't work. Serial number AA0307 and I was told when I bought it that it was an 07 Should have done my homework. No big deal now just have to upgrade the hubs to post 2003. Looking at just replacing bearings and not the entire hub although it may be just as easy to replace the assembly. I'm sorry for the mistake although I know now how to verify Serial number thanks to this forum.

We are all learning every day! I did just change out the bearings in one of my hubs, pretty easy project and the bearings are much cheaper than new hubs.
The question is on the OD of the bearings, are they the same for both old and new designs?

I thought you will have to replace The entire hub as it's a sealed hub on 03 +

You can buy new hubs, but you can also buy new sealed bearings and replace the ones in your hubs.

Ya have a link to sealed bearings as I thought it was a complete unit, as all in one.

Try this link for Revolution Golf Cars,

http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/_p...%2C-%231011393

Or contact them and see if they have the later model sealed ball bearings.
