Default Installed AM293201 today

My cart, s/n A9927-xxxxxx, ran pretty good with the V-glide, but was a bit jumpy at varying speeds. I decided to install the AM293201 kit.

The installation went pretty smooth for these old hands and poor vision. I started to back the cart off the ramps and noticed there was no reverse buzzer initially when I switched to F-R switch. Then it came on and I was able to back off the ramps.

However, the solenoid is not energizing every time I press GO, in forward or reverse. When it does energize, the cart runs very smoothly at all speeds, and will continue to run fine as long as I don't let off the pedal.

But if I let off the pedal and press it again, nothing happens, just like I am not pressing the pedal.

I double checked all of the terminal plugs and connections, but it continues to do the same thing.

Any suggestions what to check first? I won't be back at the cart until next weekend, but I'll take your notes with me.

There's an intermittent component or a bad connection somewhere. Either the micro switch in the mcor4 is bad, the microswitch behind the F&R switch, or the solenoid is more than likely intermittent. You can confirm this with a multi meter. Did you buy the conversion kit from me?

No TD, unfortunately. I went to Blockbuster for it trying to save $. I'll check the connections and get back to you.

Thank you, Dave, for your help, even though it was a loss leader for you.

One more thing! I am a limited income, retired, arthritic, old fart.

In the future, please cut me some slack. LOL!
