They are likely Excel drive system, so without changing controllers or motor, your only option is to program them for speed code 4.

A stock precedent with 23" tires programmed for speed code 4 should reach (under ideal conditions) 24 mph.

You need a Curtis programmer with the appropriate access level, like a 1313-4401 model.

You also need to purchase the Speed 4 unlock codes from Club Car that are unique to each Controller Serial Number.

Normally a Club Car dealer handles all that and charges around $100 to program each cart.

Excel carts are very sluggish compared to IQ carts. The speed program rarely will net decent speed on a lifted Excel cart. I've had numerous customers call me complaining about the speed setting 4 in their Excel cart. They claim they couldn't tell much difference. I recommend the Alltrax XCT300 controller. You'll get 22-24 mph with an increase of torque and much faster acceleration over stock. The only additional part you'll need to use the 300 amp version of the XCT on your Precedent is one 6 gauge wire 17" in length to replace the yellow wire from the solenoid to the controller. Everything else will reach without further modification.

Sounds good to me. Is this better then swapping out a plum Quick motor?

Thanks

I think the XCT controller would be the best solution as well, You can program different modes: kids, grand parents, Regen Brake or coast and add switches to the dashboard to change modes.

The programming software is free so You can make changes any time you want.

Speed wise it's about the same. Torque wise it's much better.

Just came back from my local cart shop and the owner was not in but his mgr said that the Alltrac Xct 300 would give me more torque but the short brushes would burn out if l used it for hills.
He also told me that the new rage is something that sounds like RC or rvc that will replace the current DC controllers.

He also mentioned that it was against the law for him to make a cart go ver 20mph here in Ga.

Now what?

If l had something to bring my cart to Athens l would have been there by now.

Never heard of a law? David would be the best to ask, if you need a trailer to get it to David, Maybe rent a trailer, it would be worth it.
