Default Yet another battery question......

Well I'm in the process of installing a Solid State conversion from Scotty B and will be buying new 8 volt batteries to replace my old 6 volt US batteries. My options are limited in this area, it's either Duracell/Energizer from SAMs Club, or US batteries "US8VGCXC" from a local distributor. I've read the stories about US batteries leaking and ruining the trays/frame.......well when I gutted the cart this week the trays were BAD!

I did order a DPI charger for the new set, which I understand actually charges US batteries correctly.

Any opinions on the subject? Seems I've been charging my old US batteries with the wrong charger the last 3 years....... I don't want to buy brand new batteries that make a mess like the last batch.....

I use those USB batteries (8V) on a DPI charger set to the correct algorithm for the past year without problem so far. No leaking that I've found but over the past month I've had to add more water than the first 11 months combined. I contribute that to them stating on the float charge of the DPI when not being used.

Thanks for the reply NCP. I went with them, they gave me a 2 year warranty on the X2s which seemed legit. My local options were limited, but the 6volt set I took out was still getting the job done, but they did make a mess. After much research I figured out they probably were never charged right with the stock Club Car charger.......DPI on the way with the new 8 volt set
