Electical Issue ?
Installed 6 new 6 volt batteries and pressed the horn button. One loud honk and then nothing. Disconnected the horn, put the cart in reverse and had the buzzing noise briefly (very faint) and then nothing. Put the cart in forward and stepped on the gas, nothing. Battery indicator show "charged", but then the indicator needle moves immediately far left whenever anything is engaged ? Any suggestions on possible problem ? Thanks.

Re: Electical Issue ?
My first guess is going to be dead batteries.
Have you charged batteries? What is pack voltage? Second guess is you have it wired wrong. Give us some more info. What year cart? Post picture of battery wiring. |

Re: Electical Issue ?
Here is the wiring diagram. Thanks for your help. As you can see brand new batteries, this morning. The two loose terminal you see floating around are for the horn.

Re: Electical Issue ?
The insulation on the main neg. cable looks fried. The wire at that connector is making a sharp bend that I'd rotate. And what are you using for throttle control? I don't see it.

Re: Electical Issue ?
During the last lurk of the night, I noticed the label on the batteries say "SuperStart". Went to their site and couldn't find cart batteries. Are those auto batteries?

Re: Electical Issue ?
They do LOOK like GC batts. When did you ever see an automotive start battery with speedy caps and lift loops ?

The link I posted from O'Reilly's has a pert number of GC110DT
From the website DETAILED DESCRIPTION Whether you need a battery for a personnel carrier, aerial lift, electric vehicle, golf car, boat, RV, floor scrubber, road sign, or any other application that requires deep-cycle power, this is the battery of choice. The biggest innovations lie inside the battery, where we use heavier grids, plates with higher density oxide and improved glass mat envelope separators. The result? Longer life cycles and superior cycle life performance. The exterior features represent powerful thinking as well.Engineers have designed a battery that is as durable and user-friendly as possible. The heavy gauge polypropylene cases have been specially engineered to take a pounding without damaging the cells.Twist-and-release vent caps make removing caps a snap, and we've maximized convenience by designing a new lifting system.
