Default Mounting 48v>12v reducer/fuse block

Hi,

This weekend I'm going to install a 48v>12v reducer an a fuse block. On a club Car DS, where are some of the best places to mount them? Wiring is another conversation, but just the mounting is probably a good place to start.

Thanks

I think behind the battery box next to the controller is a good spot on the DS.
Short enough wires for the leads from the battery, but the accessory lines to the dash for switches and to the accessories will be longer runs...

This is a plate I set up for my reducer, brake light timer etc.

Then mounted it across the frame rails behind the batteries.

Thanks. Any concern about mounting it near the batteries where it'll get dirty and/or wet? Also, what gauge wire for wiring this and the accessories?

16 ga wire should handle most anything you would use.

As far as dirt I try to be careful when going through mud puddles etc.

My cart came with an aftermarket dash so I mounted Scotty's fuse block and terminal strip right in the dash. Very short runs of wire to everything except the taillights and high and dry. No salt or mud in there,,,yet!

Put mine right behind the batteries on a homemade bracket like mrgolf and AceKH. No issues with dirt or water to date...
