Default Battery pack voltage

2002 DS. With all accessories disconnected, key off , why should I get sparking when I disconnect a cable. Why would there be a load on battery pack? Thanks

What cable?
If it's a cable that comes directly off of the batter pack, it is going to spark.

Not sure about the 2002 but does it have a tow/run switch. If so, placing the tow/run to Tow should get ride of the spark.
A reducer will cause a spark too

If it has a controller, it's the caps in the controller charging back up. Normal.

Pre charge resistor that keeps the capacitors fill in the controller would be the reason the spark. If it has a tow run switch, you need make sure it's in tow first.
