Default Increase speed on 96 club car ds 48volt

I just purchased a 96 club car that is being delivered tomorrow. I test drove it today and while it drove fine, it wasn't as fast as i would like. What are my options for getting more speed? The batteries are less than 2 years old so I don't think they should be an issue. Based on what I read, it has a series motor (not a regen). Does that mean getting a speed chip or new speed controller is not an option for me? I assume upgrading the motor is an option, buy that will probably cost more than I currently want to spend. I also read that increasing the tire size and gear size are options. I believe both of those will result in decreased torque. That may be okay, because I live in a very flat area. Are either of those options harmful to the cart? Would I need to lift the cart to get bigger tires? How simple is it to change the gear size? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I tried looking through the forums for info, but it seems like the options for increased speed vary greatly depending on the type of cart owned.

I was waiting for one of the many professionals here to reply to your question. I am far from a pro but have a couple questions for you. You have a legitimate concern but without more information, it will be difficult to answer your question.

1] Using a GPS app on your phone, what is your approximate top speed?

2] Has there been any modification to replace the V-Glide with an MCOR?

Upon answering these questions, I'm sure a real pro will step in with some suggestions.

You need to find out how fast you want to go. Between controller and a motor Scotty B will get you rollin. Speed is fine and dandy but don't forget with all this go don't forget the whoa. If your decision is to go 25+ upgrade your brakes. Safety first if kids decide to hop on

I'm assuming this is a series cart? Grey motor with a white sticker on it with blue letters? 3.10 horsepower?

I am watching this. I assume the answer is a new Admiral motor, new controller, new solenoid, new FR switch, bigger cables. My second question would be if you are on a tight budget (say maybe you just bought a Cadillac CTS mock DS cart :) ) is there any order that you can do this in steps and see immediate advantages?

The Admiral A1 motor will work just fine on a factory controller. If you're on flat ground and don't demand a lot of torque it may be all you need. You'll always be able to get your torque back later with a controller, wire, and solenoid upgrade. I've done several A1s on Club Cars and B1s on E-Z-GOs, all while leaving the stock controller and my customers love them. None of these cars are lifted, BTW.
