Fluids to change on DS
Hello,
I am about to wrap up (for now) a project on my '04 Club Car DS. I've read about some fluids that might need changing in the rear axle? IS that accurate? I'm trying to do everything I can before I put the cowl back on (Friday). Thanks |

Re: Fluids to change on DS
nnmsgst,
Wow, you sure are busy getting your golf car in shape. The differential fluid change is a great idea, and good maintenance practice. The manual calls for 30 weight motor oil, so I used 30 weight Royal Purple synthetic oil. There is a top plug for filling and a bottom plug for draining. There are several threads on this forum that helped me when I did mine. Basically it is suggested that you remove the fill, upper, plug first. That way if it won't come out you can delay the process and still use the car. After the upper plug is out remove the bottom plug and let it drain. The differential holds about 23 oz's of fluid and either a squeeze bottle or a funel with a long thin hose works best. Have fun, Aflyer |

Don't forget the blinker fluid!
I don't have turn signals on my carts, so I don't need any. This time of year most auto parts stores have it on sale or even free with purchase!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am so happy you posted this coupon, I have 3 cars and 1 golf cart with signal lights. Do you think it will be ok if I copy this coupon so I can get 4 bottles? |

Re: Fluids to change on DS
Could you use 75/90 gear axel fluid also?

Re: Fluids to change on DS
75w 90 is the same viscosity as SAE 30, so yes it is ok to use.
