1999 club car ds model hesitation
Just had new batteries installed, but still am getting a periodic loss of power/hesitation while driving cart. It is like a short jolt or lurch, and then it goes back to normal. This happens 2-5 times during a round of golf. One time the cart would not go until I pushed it a few feet. Any suggestions regarding what might be the cause. I have read potentials may be MCOR or VGlide issues. Many thanks.

A 1999 would have a multi-step potentiometer unless it has been converted to an MCOR. bdparks, can you take a picture of your throttle device so we can see which one it has? It's either going to be a pie-shaped box (multi-step) mounted on the frame beneath the driver's seat or a black plastic box (mcor) mounted on the outside of the passenger side frame beneath the floor.

It looks like it is a pie shaped box under the driver seat.

Does this need to be replaced, or can it be repaired?

Re: 1999 club car ds model hesitation
Replace it with an MCOR4. The "Pre-MCOR to MCOR4 conversion kit" is what you'd need for this cart. It works on all 48V DS Cars (Except the first 16 weeks of 1995) that were never equipped with an MCOR from the factory. Part number AM293201.

Re: 1999 club car ds model hesitation
I'm having the same exact issue. I have a 95 DS cart. How can I tell if mine was made in the first 16 weeks of 1995?
