Default Conversion Kit failed

I have a 2000 DS 48 Vol series With a 700 amp non programmable controller, 4 ga wires and a MCOR 4.
I wanted to upgrade to a 500 amp Alltrax, HD F/R, And 2 ga wires and a 400 amp solenoid. So I ordered and installed per instructions. Everything went find until I turn key on and hit the go pedal. A LOUD pop and blew the diode on solenoid. When and bought a new one and replaced it. Key on, hit go pedal and blew it also.

At a lose now. What to do now?

Yes but you run the risk of frying some components

You had both diodes in backwards. That is the only way you would fail it that way.

I'd verify that small red wire next. The other end should be on controller #1. Take off both ends and ring out with the meter.
