85' ds 36v electric, one speed on accelerator
When pressing the pedal down, there is no gradual increase in speed - only on or off. about 1/4 throttle and it lurches forward (on), but there is no middle ground. Is this normal? If not, what can I check to see what is working and what isn't?
Any help is appreciated fellas. I'm very new to this and I want to sort out the mechanical aspects before I start on the cosmetics. |

Re: 85' ds 36v electric, one speed on accelerator
1985 CC has 4 speeds (a solenoid for each) and a master.
As the gas pedal is depressed they should all click in sequence going from driver to passenger side... put the cart on jacks and remove the seat to test. |

Re: 85' ds 36v electric, one speed on accelerator
Finally got the time to check them. There is a very easily distinguishable click for 4 solenoids. Assuming the master clicks at the same time as solenoid 2, then they are all functioning. Any other ideas.

Is there a broken coil in the "weenie roaster"? [coils that are connected to the solenoids]

Thanks mgray! Help an electrically deficient brother out. How does one verify continuity?

okay gents, all coils are good and every single solenoid tested good at WFO (or full throttle if you are a devout christian). Hopefully this limits the possibilities??
