Could be the micro Sw on the FRN Sw with 3 wires attached.
the speed signal to the controller goes thru the micro sw,,
one position is for Fwd, the other is for Rvs thru a resistor for slower speed

may have bad wire, connection or Sw contacts in the Fwd position

Does it go in reverse? That front micro switch. That face is talking about is signaling the juice. But if it goes in reverse and not forward wouldn't that be another issue

Check resistance between pin 2 & 3 on the controller
Resistance should vary as you push go.

Jack up Rear of cart
put in Fwd
0 to 5k Ω in Fwd

or remove wires & measure resistance between the wires as you press "go"

A worn cam on the F+R could trigger the 1st m/s for one direction but not the other. I'd try taking the wires off m/s. Attach a meter and cycle the F+R sw to verify. One of my cams was marginal.
