Default Best Batteries to get and from where?

Replacing my Batteries, what are the best bang for the buck and where do I get them, a buddy mentioned Trojan from Costco for like $200 each (I need four 12 volt for my 2005 Club Precendence) I will also be getting new cables.

You'd be better off doing. 4/12 to 6/8 conversion. The 4/12's have a reputation of very short run times.
Trojan and Crown seem to be the top batteries around here.
I just put six Crown CR190's in my Precedent a month ago and love them.
Probably the best for range is the Trojan Ranger 160's.
But like anything else, you will pay a premium for the best.

You'll get more run time and cared for properly, longer life out of 8V batteries. The Ah rating is higher for 6- 8V batteries compared to 4- 12V batteries. Do a search on the forums for the conversion Kashmir mentioned above.

There is more lead plates in six 8 volt batteries than in four 12 volt batteries. But adding that weight to the cart means less weight of other things the cart will handle.

Best in my honest opinion would be Trojan the cheapest place to buy them is the cheapest place you can find them depending where you live depends on how much they are,to an extent

This is an interesting topic:

I have a 2006 DS, that is used around the yard as a tool mule. Also used to run around a small neighborhood, so the 4 12 Volt batteries has been fine.

The 2013 Precedent gets used at the Beach for much more riding, and longer trips, so the extra range with the 6 8 Volts is a good thing.

Decision should probably be based on the range you travel with your car between recharges. IMHO.

Aflyer nailed it. Life of a deep cycle battery is based on the number of charge cycles and the amount of draw down between recharging. The more lead you have in a 6-8V setup will give you more run time but that longer run could bring the pack voltage to the same level as a shorter run on a 4-12v setup. So, if you're OCD about charging like most of us are and charge after every run then either configuration would probably last about the same.

our is used up at a seasonal campground, so it gets charged when we get up there, and then over night, but not during the days. So it is basically ran all day every weekend, then sits for a week.

Do you use a maintenance charger during the week?
