I know that this doesn't apply to you people in the States but my options are more limited. In Australia the only worthwhile units I can identify are 12V or high end professional units costing hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I looked at the link provided by UncleJerm76 and their international unit (with 240V power) is over US$800. So, for the price available, I'll stick with the 48V Save A Battery even though I agree that having an 8V unit would allow you to charge individual batteries for balance purposes. My batteries are almost new and are well balanced anyway so the 48V unit will help keep them that way when I don't have the CC charger connected.

I just received mine in the post and it says "Our advanced Auto-Pulse technology conditions your battery by breaking down the sulfation on the plates"

So the answer to your question must be "Yes".

I'm sure yours is a beauty but this one should do the job also and seems to be good value for the money.

Awesome thanks for the info, glad you found a lower cost option for your area! Hopefully the same company will come out with 8v option so you can keep those new batteries in optimal condition.
