85 cc ds - how to find replacement rear fenders
Anybody have a line on some decent replacement rear fenders for a CC DS? Mine are pretty far gone and I'd like to get some good condition replacements. I've found all sorts of fender flares, but I prefer the stock size. If no luck, I may just putty up the holes. Any help is appreciated!

Re: 85 cc ds - how to find replacement rear fenders
I have a body and I only need to replace the fender flares. Seems the only ones I can find are the wider aftermarket versions, which do not suit the look im going for.

What happened to your original factory vendor flares? And can you post a picture? Thanks, Aflyer |

Re: 85 cc ds - how to find replacement rear fenders
Kashmir - you sir, are a gentleman. Thanks for the info, I'll be ordering this weekend.
Aflyer, I just wanted to get newer ones. I bought this cart for $500 running, driving, with still good batteries. Naturally, the old ones look like they spent their glory years as a dog toy, followed by being dragged behind a semi truck for a few hundred miles. Since I am doing bodywork, paint, wheels & tires, interior upgrade, black diamond plate floors, etc... I want the flares to be at least respectable. I think shaving them off completely would leave the wheels sticking out too far and the aftermarket (4x4 looking) flares dont match the look I want. Also, I just realized the picture had molded flares that were part of the body... mine are separate pieces. Now I am curious what year that is, both the original body and this replacement body I procured have the separate ones. |

Re: 85 cc ds - how to find replacement rear fenders
Zeegee66,
Very interesting, I am fairly new at this myself, and have never seen a body without the molded in flairs. Good question about the year. There are a couple of rear bodies on eBay right now for cheap, if you are going to paint it anyway. Also Kashmir's solution is pretty cool too. Thanks, Aflyer |
