Default 89 CC Build Underway

Got home last night and the front porch was covered up with boxes. I could hardly contain myself.
6" Allsports Super Sport lift..............329.95
24" Swamp Fox w/black wheels........312.99
D395...........................................521 .00
500/650 amp controller...................399.00
HD Solenoid....................................79.00
Curtis PB-6.....................................99.00

The anticipation of a new project.....PRICELESS!

I will try to post pictures of the progress along the way. I installed the front portion of the lift last night. Very easy, straightforward instructions. Took about an hour and a half.

Larry I find it much easier to work on these if you take the body off ....at least the rear....Good luck, we will expect lots of pic along the way

the body is off...well I know it is on in the picture, but it is just sitting on the frame. I took everything off before I started. You are right, I can't imagine trying to do anything with the body on.

Scottyb,
Well I suppose I'll do the rear portion of the lift and get that wrapped up. The motor is still in transit, but I have everything else. I really need to get my cables made and see if I can make the "scottyb custom PB-6 linkage." Get that done and mount the solenoid, controller, and motor and hope for the best. I'm electrically challenged so the whole wiring process has me intimidated, however I have a copy of your diagram so I'm hoping it all goes smoothly. Just as long as none of the magic smoke comes out of anything I'll be alright. I'll keep the pics coming.

That all sounds good, except for the part where you got my diagram
Seriously...I have done two CC conversions by that diagram and while they did vary in their accessories they both worked out......If I can help give me a holler

Well I finished up the lift last night after church. The rear lift was a pain! Instructions were not that good and NO PICTURES! I don't mind reading instructions, but a good picture goes a long way. I couldn't remove the rear leaf springs...the front bolts wouldn't budge. I don't know what the deal was, but I wasted about an hour trying. I decided there had to be another way. So I just dropped the axle, unhooked the brake cables and rolled the axle out of the way so I could get the springs on top. After that was no problem. My goal in this build was to gain some ground clearance and of course more torque. Well it appears that maybe I have been too ambitious. The total amount of lift is right at 10 inches. the cart started out at about 6-6.5 inches off the ground at the floorboard....now it is 16.5 inches. It is much taller than I imagined it would be. Oh, well, live and learn. Now the good news is that the motor came yesterday so I can get started mounting and wiring up. Sorry, no pics today, but they are coming.

By the way, what are the chances of rolling over? This thing is so tall and now I'm a little concerned about it rolling.

Chances of rolling it? A direct proportion to how crazy a driver you are! Mine is 12" with just a little 3" lift and 20s ...You can get some wheel spacers. I put some 2" spacers on my Ezgo and the additional 4 inch wider wheel base was about 8-10% wider.. It made a noticeable improvement
